100% Barossa Valley Mataro is a rare and treasured thing chiefly as it likes slower, late ripening seasons. Hand-picked late April from a single vineyard grown using organic principles located in the central sub region known as Light Pass.
Traditionally made using time-honoured techniques such as open vat fermentation, using a combination of seasoned French and American oak barrels for 3 ½ years, time to elegantly mature naturally with minimal intervention. Deep ruby aromas meet earthly notes of tobacco, dark cherry, chocolate and exotic spice.
