Pirate Cru 'William Hunt' Cab Sauv Petit Verdot 2018 750mL

Grapes are from a small block of dry-grown, low-yielding vines located in the mid-north region of the Barossa Valley known as Light Pass, where the soil profile is perfect for Cabernet, resulting in wines of abundant character. 

An addition of Petit Verdot (8%) completes the wine to style. Traditionally hand made using time-honoured technique, élevage includes a selection of seasoned French and American oak maturation over approximately 20 months. Intensely coloured, the aromas complex, layered with inky darkberry, chocolate, and spicy notes. Palate is full and elegant, exhibiting abundant ripe-fruit flavours woven harmoniously with fine oak and soft tannins. Drink now or cellar 8+ years. Only 172 dozen made!
